What happens to your details
Plain words, short list. This is an early version of the page.
What we store, and why
Your birth date, time and place, the chart worked out from them, your "this is me" and "not me" taps, any comparisons you're part of, and an anonymous id from a cookie in your browser. If you add an email, that too. We keep these so your map is there when you come back, and so we can see whether InnerMap is actually useful. To stop one network making hundreds of maps, we also keep a scrambled version of your network address with a daily count. We keep it with your map until you delete it, and a separate daily count of it to stop misuse. There's no box anywhere for writing about your feelings.
Who writes the words
Anthropic's Claude writes the plain-language words on your map and your comparisons. To do that, your birth details and calculated chart are sent to Anthropic. The values themselves, like your signs and pillars, are worked out by InnerMap's own code. Claude only writes the words around them.
Your link is the key
Anyone with your map link or a compare link can see what is on it. Anyone with your map link can also compare their map with yours. Only a short summary of each of you and where your charts meet is shown, never a birth date. A BaZi chart can still be worked back to a date, so keep the link to yourself and the people you trust.
Not affiliated
InnerMap isn't affiliated with Jovian Archive or Gene Keys.
Deleting your data
Open your map and tap Delete my data. It removes your map, your taps, your email and the anonymous id behind them. If your map was in a comparison, the other person keeps theirs with your side taken out. The daily count stays, but it holds no map, words or birth details.
A word on matching
Comparing maps is for curiosity. Swedish register data (Helgertz & Scott, 2020) found no link between astrological match and marriage or divorce. That's why InnerMap never gives a compatibility score.
